Psalm 89


(Psa 89:1) Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

No sadder words to hear are, "There arose a generation that knew not God." We must pass the knowledge of the Lord from generation to generation. We have much praise and worship which is good. We have a lot of preaching which is even better but I see some of us getting away from in depth bible teaching which places the word in our hearts to bring forth fruit needed to keep us from sin.

(Psa 89:2) For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
(Psa 89:3) I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
(Psa 89:4) Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.

This will come to pass. God will not fail in His promises. The Jews rejecting Christ temporarily took them out of the vine but they will be grafted in again when they discover their Messiah, Jesus Christ.  They will return to the Lord and they will be established forever. No matter who tries to destroy them, they will prevail and also those that trust in Christ by faith will prevail. Adopted Israel are those that have received Jesus Christ by faith even though they are not natural Israel by birth. 

(Psa 89:5) And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

Saints are not special persons who do great acts for the Lord but saints are all who have believed and received Jesus Christ as savior.

(Psa 89:6) For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD? 
(Psa 89:7) God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
(Psa 89:8) O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?

The one who is neglected the most is the one who will rule the earth in power. We must fear God again and stop this insanity of teaching evolution. We are going to pay a heavy price for this ungodly teaching that is destroying the souls of many believers with that great lie of Satan.

(Psa 89:9) Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
(Psa 89:10) Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
(Psa 89:11) The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
(Psa 89:12) The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
(Psa 89:13) Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
(Psa 89:14) Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
(Psa 89:15) Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
(Psa 89:16) In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
(Psa 89:17) For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

Stop making fun of people who still fear the Lord and love His word. They are the ones that shall be exalted in the day of the Lord's coming.

(Psa 89:18) For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

The Holy One of Israel is Jesus Christ.

(Psa 89:19) Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
(Psa 89:20) I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

David was given the promise of an eternal kingdom. Jesus Christ will fulfill this.

(Psa 89:21) With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
(Psa 89:22) The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
(Psa 89:23) And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
(Psa 89:24) But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
(Psa 89:25) I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
(Psa 89:26) He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
(Psa 89:27) Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

This is a prophecy of Jesus Christ the Son of God but also the Son of David through the lineage of the tribe of Judah.  Why do so many hate the Jews?  It is because Satan hates them and has always wanted to destroy them because they are the ones chosen of God to bring forth the Christ child which brings salvation to the entire world.  Satan does not want anyone to be saved and inherit eternal life. 

(Psa 89:28) My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
(Psa 89:29) His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
(Psa 89:30) If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
(Psa 89:31) If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
(Psa 89:32) Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

All the promises of God are conditional depending upon our obedience to His word. Neglect of the word is very serious which is why we need to return to the teaching ministry among the church not neglecting the praise and worship but adding to it. There is a promised seed and that is Israel which though despised by the world, is loved of God.  They will excel when they at last find the real Lord of their life that their ancestors rejected and that is Jesus Christ.  All followers of Jesus Christ will be part of the promises given to Israel.  They never replace Israel but become part of them by faith in Christ. 

(Psa 89:33) Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
(Psa 89:34) My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
(Psa 89:35) Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
(Psa 89:36) His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
(Psa 89:37) It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
(Psa 89:38) But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
(Psa 89:39) Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.

People hate the law of God and cast it aside preferring their own ways and following after sin. Even the chosen nation of Israel cast off and hated the anointed one when He came (Jesus).  They broke the covenant with God and hated holiness.  Yet, God has not cast away His chosen people.  Because of their fall salvation went to the Gentiles.  When they are received again, it will be like life from the dead.  Dry bones raising up similar to the account in Ezekiel. 

(Psa 89:40) Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.
(Psa 89:41) All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.
(Psa 89:42) Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
(Psa 89:43) Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
(Psa 89:44) Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
(Psa 89:45) The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
(Psa 89:46) How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?
(Psa 89:47) Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
(Psa 89:48) What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
(Psa 89:49) Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?
(Psa 89:50) Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;
(Psa 89:51) Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
(Psa 89:52) Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.

The troubles and anguish of Israel was because of their rejection of the law of God. They went into idolatry many times and were severely judged of God by God allowing the very people they were copying after to bring them into captivity. This is why many writers of the Old Testament cry out to God in lamenting and mourning. They would continually ask God to restore their nation and God in His mercy would restore them many times only to have them rebel again.

Israel's rejection of Jesus Christ the very Son of God caused the Roman army to destroy their temple and their city. The Jews were then scattered all over the world. They stayed that way for centuries until Hitler tried to destroy every last one of them during the Holocaust in Germany. After this horrible time in history the Jews with the help of very few and the president of the United States established a home again called Israel.

This did not happen by accident. This is a direct prophecy caused by the hand of God to fulfill the word in the latter days. Israel has to be back in their own land before the end time bible prophecy can come to pass. I don't understand all and everything but I believe our present war in Iraq just may play a part in latter day prophecy. I once said years before the war in Iraq that in order for Iraq to fulfill any latter day prophecy concerning Babylon there would have to be many changes.

A country like the United States would have to help them and make them rich. If you mix a religion that allows slavery and uses beheading as a method of execution with the immorality of the United States, you will have Babylon.

The United States is a good country that cares for the poor and stands for civil rights for all. Some are very religious and send the gospel all over the earth. The United States also was a refuge for the Jews during World War 2. This part of the United States is good. However, there is a part of the United States that is evil and satanic. Freedom must be kept in balance by the fear of God.

 

 

 

We are losing the fear of God. God has been removed from the public schools by judges misinterpreting the constitution. This lack of acknowledging God has caused evil to prevail in the United States. Homosexual rights are now accepted as normal.

Abortion is permitted only ten years after the bible was cast out of the public schools and ruled unconstitutional. Now in America we have sexual immorality, rape, incest, adultery, fornication and child molestation is on the rise. Why? NO FEAR OF GOD. God was cast out and Satan walks in. Some Islamic groups call us the great Satan. They are right about some of us but not all of us. Some of us still fear God.

Getting back to Iraq. If you take the evil that is in the United States and mix it with freedom and Democracy in Iraq, it will be good at first but then you will have lawlessness because of the evil. In order to control the chaos, you will have to return to slavery and death penalties. Thus you have modern Babylon. Please don't take this as gospel truth. I'm only making an opinion but in reading about both Mystery Babylon and commercial Babylon, I don't see the United States in all of it. The United States no longer endorses slavery which Babylon has. The United States does not murder the saints or believers in Jesus Christ which Babylon does. If you mix the bad in the United States with a religion that endorses slavery and the murder of those who believe in Jesus Christ then you have Babylon. The United States as we know it now would not endorse those things but if we help another country, build up their country and then pull out our influence, they may be the future Babylon. Give them our Hollywood immorality, our movies, and our acceptance of abortion and homosexuality, you will have Babylon. Since they will not accept Jesus Christ because of their own religion, there will be nothing to stop the Hollywood type of evil to prevail in Iraq.

Believe it or not the only thing that keeps America from being a country that endorses slavery and beheadings are those that still hold onto the gospel of Jesus Christ. If a rapture of the church takes place and we are taken out, they just may start doing the evil that the church is preventing just by being here. Two things could happen to the church. They could be removed by way of rapture or they could fall into apostasy and stop walking with God. Either way the United States would cease to be great and we would lose our country. These are not predictions just suppositions of what could happen. We are already heading in the wrong direction. Judgment may be delayed if George Bush stays true to God but whoever comes after Him just may determine our destiny as a country. The leader is a representative of evil or good. If evil has its way partial birth abortion will return and homosexuality will become rampant. It will be legal to molest children and all kinds of immorality will be accepted as normal lifestyles. Pedophiles will have freedom and the children will not be safe. This will cause God to be angry with us and we will be destroyed.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not against Iraq, Iran or any other country having freedom and Democracy. However, Democracy will not work without the fear of God keeping evil in check. We need Jesus Christ to keep us from sin. That is why Jesus came. He came to forgive sin and give us power over sin. Without Jesus we stay in our sins and will sooner or later invite immorality in our land. Strict religions will keep evil at bay by strict force but that is not good because compassion is lost. Jesus brings compassion on the lost, forgiveness for sins and then power to overcome sin. Jesus brings the hope of eternal life where there is no more sin or death. Religion without compassion is deadly and punishes those who break the law by death and cruelty. The true religion that comes through the Son of God, Jesus Christ brings compassion for those who break the law, forgiveness for those who repent of sin and power over future sin. Jesus is the answer to true peace in the whole world. I didn't say religion was the answer. I said Jesus Christ is the only answer to true peace.  The very thing the ACLU wants to keep out is the very thing that will save us.
